It's Olympic season!

Updated: Aug 4

So... how many of you have been following the Olympic fencing this year? It's been spectacular with a lot of great firsts. Such as the first ever fencing medal for Canada (Eleanor Harvey - Bronze), the first ever time that the USA got gold and silver in the women's foil individual (Lee Kiefer - gold, Lauren Scruggs - silver), the first ever USA black woman individual fencing medal (Lauren Scruggs - silver foil), and more! And that's just in women's foil! After seeing the fencing at the Olympics this year, are you interested in taking up the sport? We welcome newcomers and focus on having a friendly, relaxed, and low cost option for learning the sport! All gear is provided for our beginners (and is available for our Intermediate fencers if they let me know ahead of time) and we begin with the foil as that covers the majority of skills that can be carried over to the other weapons. Just go to our front page for more information and send in your registration. We will begin the Fall semester on Monday, Sept. 9th and have a second class on Wed. Sept. 11th if that better fits your schedule. Classes continue weekly until November 25th/27th (Monday/Wednesday). We hope to see you on the strip!
